Ford Institute Leadership Program

The Ford Institute Leadership Program is the signature program of the Ford Institute.  The program consists of a series of leadership development classes with additional training for the community to develop Effective Organizations and Community Collaborations.   The Sequence of Training in a Community is:

In 2007 (Year 1) - Leadership Development (1)

In 2008 (Year 2) - Effective Organizations

In 2009 (Year 3) - Leadership Development (2)

In 2010 (Year 4) - Community Collaborations

In 2011 (Year 5) - Leadership Development (3)

A community member's commitment to the Leadership Program does not require five years of classes.   The 5-year series is designed to engage more people from the community as the series progresses.  A new set of individuals from the community attend the second and third Leadership Development classes.  Graduates of the Leadership Development classes have the option, but are not required, to attend Effective Organizations and Community Collaborations.
